Getting Ready for the World Earth Day 2025 Webinar

As we count down to the World Earth Day 2025 Webinar hosted by the Foundation for Sustainable Smallholder Solutions, we want to make sure you’re fully prepared to get the most out of this important and insightful event.

Whether you’re a farmer, student, development professional, or simply someone passionate about sustainability and the environment, here are a few simple steps to help you prepare:

1. Download and Install the Zoho Meeting App

We’ll be using Zoho Meeting to host the webinar. It’s user-friendly and accessible on both desktop and mobile devices.

To get started:

  • Visit https://zoho.com/meeting
  • Download the app for your device (Windows, macOS, iOS, or Android)
  • Install and sign in if needed
  • Test your access to ensure you’re good to go

Note: If you prefer not to download the app, you can also join via your web browser — just make sure your browser is up to date.

2. Check Your Internet Connectivity

Smooth video and audio require a stable internet connection. Here are a few tips:

  • Connect to a reliable Wi-Fi network
  • If you’re using mobile data, make sure you’re in an area with strong signal strength
  • Turn off background apps or streaming services that may slow down your connection
  • Have a backup plan (e.g., data hotspot) in case of unexpected issues

3. Charge Your Device (or Plug In!)

There’s nothing worse than running out of battery mid-session! Be sure to:

  • Fully charge your phone, tablet, or laptop ahead of time
  • Or better still, stay plugged in throughout the webinar for uninterrupted participation

4. Find a Quiet, Comfortable Space

To get the most from the session:

  • Find a quiet space with minimal distractions
  • Use headphones if you’re in a noisy environment
  • Have a notebook and pen (or digital notes app) ready for key takeaways

5. Come Ready to Learn, Engage, and Be Inspired

This isn’t just another webinar. It’s a call to action.

Under the theme: “Sustainable Farming for a Healthier Earth: Empowering Smallholder Farmers for Climate Action,” we’ll be exploring how farming practices can protect the planet while improving farmer livelihoods.

You’ll learn about:

  • Regenerative agriculture — restoring soil health and biodiversity
  • Climate-smart farming — adapting and thriving in a changing climate
  • Carbon farming — turning environmental stewardship into economic opportunity
  • Policy and financial pathways — making sustainable farming scalable and inclusive

And best of all, you’ll hear from two leading voices in the field:

Both will share deep insights and practical knowledge from years of experience working with Nigerian farmers.

6. Be Ready to Ask Questions

During the Q&A session, you’ll have the chance to interact with the panelists.

Please type your questions into the chat during the session, and include your name so we can recognise you. It’s a great opportunity to get personalised insights.
